50-year Love Story Celebrated at Westwood House

Residents and colleagues at Westwood House in East Kilbride, have recently celebrated the inspiring love story of Duncan and Laura Armour, who have been married for more than 50 years.
The couple met in Glasgow in the 1970s, when Laura worked in the British Home Stores, and Duncan worked with the Scottish lighting department. Their relationship has been shaped by a shared love of travel, adventure and life. Over the years, they have explored destinations across the world, with Spain holding a special place in their hearts.
Laura joined Westwood over three years ago, and the team were delighted when Duncan followed soon after in November 2024, allowing the couple to continue their life together without interruption. Their strong bond and affection bring warmth and joy not only to each other, but to everyone around them.
