Park Lodge shines with exceptional CI report
The team and residents at our Park Lodge Care Home in Westhill are celebrating the home’s glowing Care Inspectorate (CI) report.
The home, in Kirkton of Skene, has received stand-out ‘Very Good’ ratings for all four areas of its recent report - how well the team support people’s wellbeing, and the quality of the staffing team, the physical environment of the home, and how well care and support is planned - all highlighted as areas of excellence.
The devoted and long-serving team of staff, who care for residents with learning disabilities, were praised for providing excellent standards of care. Quotes in the report describe how staff are “very attentive and know the residents extremely well”, have “excellent communication”, with comments from families including “my relative receives excellent care”.
Comments from the team reflected their devotion to their roles, with one staff member explaining how Park Lodge felt “like a family”. The report highlights how the team are “competent and confident”, with “good cooperation and mutual respect”.
There was also high praise for how well the residents’ care and support is planned, with care plans truly person-centred, with incredible attention to detail which “demonstrated thoughtful and meaningful care”.
Another stand out area of the report, which followed an unannounced inspection, explained how the environment was of a “high standard”, “warm, welcoming and safe”, with a “calm and homely” atmosphere, “very well maintained and exceptionally clean”.
The Sanctuary Care home’s manager Sharon Nacario said: “We are incredibly proud of this report. Every member of our team is truly passionate about enriching the lives of our residents. Seeing them thrive, feel safe, and enjoy each day is the greatest reward, and we’re delighted that the Care Inspectorate’s findings reflect the dedication of our team and family spirit of our home.”
