Tyneholm’s team delighted with CI report

The team and residents at our care home in Tranent are celebrating the home’s recent Care Inspectorate (CI) report.  

Tyneholm Stables Care Home in Pencaitland has received ‘Good’ ratings in all areas in its latest report following an unannounced inspection, for how well the team supports residents’ wellbeing, the leadership and the quality of the staffing team.

Residents and their loved ones had high praise for the devoted staff, with comments including “staff are lovely” and “I’m really happy”.

Inspectors also highlighted “kind interactions” with staff who “knew people and their families well” and provided “a good balance between gentle care and cheery conversations.”

Comments from inspectors noted the residents benefitted from the care of a team who “were well supported and were confident in their role”, and that there was a “stable staff team who knew residents well.”

The experiences residents enjoy was another highlight, with inspectors noting how residents enjoyed a “varied programme of activities which provided stimulation and fun.”

Tyneholm Stables Home Manager, Stephen Van Putten said: “We’re incredibly proud of our recent report, that highlights the positive relationships between our team, residents and their families, and the calm, supportive environment we strive to create every day.”
