CQC Success at Rowanweald
The team at Rowanweald, our care home in Harrow, are celebrating a fantastic achievement following their latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, where the home received a rating of ‘Good’ across all five key areas. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of its team and the exceptional care provided to residents.
The inspection highlighted the warm and welcoming environment, with inspectors noting that “the atmosphere in the home was relaxed and welcoming.”
Residents and families view the standard of care highly, with the report sharing that “Interactions were warm and meaningful, which contributed to a relaxed and calm atmosphere.”
Rowanweald’s positive environment benefits its team too, with one staff member stating “I’m proud to work here. It feels like a positive place, and I think the residents notice that too.”
The caring nature of staff really stood out, with inspectors observing “meaningful interactions” and noting that people were “treated with dignity and respect.”
Feedback from relatives reinforced this, with one person commenting, “The staff work very hard, and are very capable.”
The team’s commitment to enriching lives was also recognised, with engaging, tailored experiences including regular animal therapy and music sessions, helping residents stay active and connected.
Strong leadership plays a key role in the home’s success. Staff praised the management team’s supportive approach, particularly the Home Manager Tamas Fazekas' “open-door approach and responsiveness.”
