Carlton Dene is a welcoming home situated within walking distance of Paddington Recreation Ground, Westminster’s largest park.
Our caring team is there to support our residents to live life to the full and enjoy the things they like to do in the comfort of homely surroundings.
Next door to the impressive St Augustine’s Church, the home is within close proximity of Kilburn Park tube station and is near bus routes to destinations such as Chelsea and Hammersmith.
The care home has been designed with welcoming lounge and dining rooms and cosy bedrooms, which provide a warm place for our residents to rest and relax.
Our dedicated team provides a range of care and support for our residents, including residential and dementia care, as well as respite care.
We welcome visits from family and friends and have an open door policy, so whether loved ones like to pop in for a coffee or take part in an activity, we encourage them to become part of the community within our home.
Our 42 bedrooms have television points and we encourage our residents to make their rooms their own, by bringing personal ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture.
We have several lounge and dining rooms, which are all areas for our residents to use as they wish, whether they enjoy taking part in activities, catching up with friendly faces or simply reading a good book.
The home also has two activity rooms where our residents enjoy a wide range of stimulating and varied activities.
The large landscaped garden and smaller courtyard garden are pleasant places to relax in the warmer weather or enjoy a spot of light gardening.
There is also a hairdressing room where our residents can enjoy being pampered with regular visits from our mobile hairdresser.
Carlton Dene’s key features include:
- Several lounge areas and dining rooms
- Two activity rooms
- A hairdressing room
- Large landscaped sensory garden and smaller courtyard garden
- Wi-Fi enabled throughout the home.
Our care team is on-hand 24 hours a day, every day of the year and staff are dedicated to delivering care with kindness.
To ensure we continue to provide the best standards of care and support to our residents, we recruit and train only the best staff.
Whilst they receive a variety of on-going training to ensure their skills remain up-to-date, along with an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB), it is their dedication to our residents which makes them truly special.
We believe it is important that our residents spend their time as they choose, so have a dedicated activities person to support them to take part in interesting activities, rekindle old past times and try new things.
This could be anything from reminiscence activities, exercise sessions, arts and crafts and baking, to classes with visiting dancers and musicians.
The home also hosts community events throughout the year where we invite people to come along to join us, for example summer fetes and Christmas fayres.
We pride ourselves on treating people as individuals, so all our residents have care plans tailored to their individual medical, social and emotional needs. We review care plans on a regular basis and involve family and friends in this process wherever possible.
The range of personal care services we can provide, in partnership with local professionals, include:
- Optical care
- Dental care
- Social worker
