We understand the importance of finding a care home that suits the needs of your loved ones perfectly. At Park View, we offer personal care, dementia care and respite care as part of our first-class care service. Our range of features, high level of care, and the local amenities on offer all ensure the best quality of life for our residents.
Safe admissions into our care homes includes the option for new residents to self-isolate in their own home before joining us.
Our virtual tours enable you to find out more about life in our care home and ask any questions you may have to a senior member of our team.
Our home has a pre-bookable designated visiting space to enable families to visit their loved ones safely. Please contact our home directly to pre-book.
With a light and airy atrium lounge at the very heart of the residential care home, a café, hairdressing salon and large gardens, there are plenty of areas for our residents to enjoy.
In the café, which leads directly onto the atrium, our residents can spend time with loved ones when they visit or enjoy the twice-weekly coffee mornings run by our volunteer, which are open to the local community in Shiregreen. There are fresh cakes every day – some of which are lovingly baked by our residents.
In the hairdressing salon, there are traditional hood dryers and black and white photographs, with mobile hairdresser coming in twice a week for appointments with our residents. The care home also has a Namaste room, where residents often enjoy relaxing hand and foot massages. This room is frequently used to provide a more holistic type of care to our residents living with dementia.
Outside the care home, the secure gardens have raised flower beds and a vegetable patch, where members of our gardening club grow everything from tomatoes and lettuces to cucumbers, runner beans and carrots. Many of our residents were keen gardeners before they moved into residential care, so it’s really important that we support them to continue with this and other hobbies here at Park View.
Most of the home’s en-suite bedrooms overlook the gardens, which stretch across the entire length of the care home. Some of the ground floor bedrooms have patio doors leading directly to the gardens.
At Park View our residents enjoy getting out and about to places closer to home and further afield in South Yorkshire. A well-known place they like to visit is Sheffield’s Tropical Butterfly House in North Anston, as well as local garden centres for afternoon tea or for pub lunches. And if anyone fancies a little retail therapy, we are very close to Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
There are also several exciting attractions fairly close by, such as Sheffield Botanical Gardens, Sheffield Cathedral, Winter Garden and Millennium Gallery, which are very popular with the local community.
Inside the home, there is always something going on, from the regular baking and gardening activities, chair aerobics, and arts and crafts with local school children. The home also has a cinema room, with a projector and screen, where residents can enjoy movie matinees.
There are great transport links to our Park View care home as we’re only a seven-minute drive from Chapeltown train station. If you’re reaching us by bus, then we’re a two-minute walk from Shirehall Road and Beck Road.
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for their care in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions. Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to truly understand the level of care and support needed.
Our 2021 weekly care fees for residential care start from £811 but may be in the region of 20% more*, dependent on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support your weekly fee could be higher.
