Our team

Our care team is on-hand 24 hours a day, every day of the year and staff are dedicated to delivering care with kindness.

To ensure we continue to provide the best standards of care and support to our residents, we recruit and train only the best staff.

Whilst they receive a variety of on-going training to ensure their skills remain up-to-date, along with an enhanced PVG check, it is their dedication to our residents which makes them truly special.

We believe it is important that our residents spend their time as they choose, so have a dedicated activities person to support them to take part in interesting activities, rekindle old past times and try new things.

Regular activities on offer include everything from arts and crafts and baking to gentle exercise sessions and musical performances.

Our residents also enjoy regular visits from a local church group, a gospel choir who perform especially for them, as well as youngsters from a nearby nursery. Regular activities on offer include gentle exercise sessions, games, arts and crafts and themed activity nights.

Care and Support

We pride ourselves on treating people as individuals, so all our residents have care plans tailored to their individual medical, social and emotional needs. We review care plans on a regular basis and involve family and friends in this process wherever possible.

The range of personal care services we can provide, in partnership with local professionals, include:

  • Chiropody
  • Hairdressing
  • Optical care
  • Dental care
  • GP
  • Key worker

Home-cooked meals

Our catering team prides themselves on preparing nutritious, seasonal home-cooked meals.

Residents help us to shape the menus and our catering team spends time with them to get feedback on the dishes and their likes and dislikes. They are also able to cater for a variety of dietary requirements.

Breakfast includes a wide variety of choice from cereals and toast to a traditional cooked breakfast.

Our menu is inspired by traditional country fare, with dishes like ‘mince and tatties’ and delicious stovies. Lunch and dinnertimes also see a selection of sandwiches, home-made soups, salads and jacket potatoes.

There is also an array of snacks and refreshments available throughout the day for residents and their loved ones if they get a bit peckish.
