Residential care homes in Cheshire

All four of our homes in the region deliver person-centric residential care. They provide a comfortable environment, with excellent facilities, where seniors can enjoy later life, safe in the knowledge that round-the-clock support is there for them.

We work with our residents and their loved ones to create a care plan that’s specific to them – factoring in health and well-being needs, as well as emotional, spiritual and social needs.

The support our professionally trained teams can provide includes help with getting dressed in the morning, moving around the home and bathing.

Here, at Sanctuary, our residents’ independence is hugely important to us – moving into a care home isn’t about leaving a previous life behind. Residents are always free to spend their time just how they choose.

However, there are always lots of stimulating and engaging activities to get involved in at our residential care homes in Cheshire too. From arts and crafts to movie nights to excursions to the county’s many beautiful landmarks – we’re always looking to enrich lives!

Dementia care homes in Cheshire

Barony Lodge in Nantwich, Bradwell Court in Congleton and Upton Dene in Chester all offer specialist dementia care in Cheshire. We support residents affected by all forms of dementia and progressive brain conditions, as well as help their loved ones to better understand their illnesses. Our compassionate care teams are there every step of the way.

We enrich our residents' lives by involving them in meaningful activities designed to stimulate the brain. These include reminiscence therapy and activities based around the senses. Our dementia care homes in Cheshire have also built close connections with their local communities, which allows our residents to continue to feel connected with the areas they know and love.

Individuals affected by dementia can experience lots of changes, including the way they eat. Each of our homes has an in-house catering team that prepares nutritious home-cooked meals, specially adapted to be enjoyed by people living with dementia.

Cheshire nursing homes

Does your loved one require a more intensive level of care? Our care homes in Warrington and Chester can provide bespoke support for those affected by long-term medical conditions and disabilities. They're designed to ensure our nursing residents are as comfortable as possible, with special features such as hoists and profile beds. Residents can also enjoy the high-quality facilities and get involved in the many activities we run in our homes

Nursing care is provided by our highly trained nurses and nursing associates. They're dedicated to providing care that meets the needs of individuals through bespoke plans, and they pride themselves on treating each resident with dignity and respect. It allows friends and family to rest safe in the knowledge their loved one is getting the exact levels of support they need.

Palliative care in Cheshire

We understand how distressing it can be following the diagnosis of a terminal illness or life-limiting condition. Our care homes in Warrington and Chester are there to help you or your loved one during a difficult time, providing palliative care that's designed to support the affected individual - rather than simply treat their illness.

Through our advanced care planning, we support our residents so they're physically and emotionally comfortable, and their quality of life is as high as possible.

Our highly skilled nursing teams can support people living with advanced cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) the latter stages of dementia, motor neurone disease (MND), multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease and more.

Respite care in Cheshire

Looking for respite care in Cheshire? Each of our care homes in the county offers short and long-term temporary care for elderly individuals. It's a service that allows caregivers to take a break from their responsibilities, safe in the knowledge the person they care for will continue to receive the exact levels of support they need. We can also support residents who've recently been released from hospital or as they recover from a period of illness.

Temporary residents can expect a warm welcome when they stay with us. They'll continue to receive a consistent level of care in a comfortable and lively environment. They'll be able to socialise and strike up bonds with our friendly teams and residents. And they can also benefit from all our fantastic facilities - from our cosy lounges to our beautiful gardens.

For many residents, respite stays provide the perfect taster of care home life. Here, at Sanctuary, many of our permanent residents joined following temporary stays.
