An invitation to tea

Residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Erith enjoyed homemade cakes and an afternoon of the best love songs as they celebrated Valentine’s Day.
There was love in the air as the team and residents at Shaftesbury Court Residential Care Home on Selkirk Drive marked the occasion with a scrumptious afternoon tea and live entertainment.
Speaking of the festivities, 102-year-old resident, Lucy Savage said: “The Valentine’s cake was lovely – all the cakes are lovely here.
“It’s been a very nice afternoon, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself!”
Your invitation to tea
The Erith home will be opening the doors to the local community on Thursday 1 March at 2pm for their monthly afternoon tea and games. There will be scrabble and cards, refreshments and an assortment of cakes to enjoy.
The home’s manager Blessing Adamu said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming new and familiar friendly faces from the local community into our home for some tea, scrumptious cakes and good fun!.”
