Ready for Wimbledon

It’s game, set, match as residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Bromsgrove prepare for two weeks of tantalizing tennis.
The team and residents at Breme Residential Care Home on Providence Road have begun their countdown to Wimbledon, showcasing their creative flair making brightly coloured visors and practicing the perfect backhand with light armchair exercises.
Over the next two weeks the home, which provides residential and residential dementia care, will be transformed into its very own centre court with the residents enjoying the famous tennis fortnight live on the big screen, accompanied with all of the traditional treats including strawberries and cream and Pimm’s.
The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Helen Barron said: “Nothing says summer like watching Wimbledon with strawberries and cream!
“So many of our residents have grown up watching Wimbledon, and many were avid tennis players in their youth, so we always like to make the most of it!”
