Malvern care home embraces Silver Sunday

There will be live music, fabulous frocks and mouth-watering food when a Sanctuary Care home in Malvern embraces Silver Sunday.
On Sunday 7 October, between 2pm and 4pm, the local community are invited to Hastings Residential Care Home on Barnards Green Road, where the home will be hosting a 1950s inspired event.
Silver Sunday is a national day which celebrates older people and their contribution to our society, with communities and organisations hosting free events to help combat loneliness and reduce isolation.
The residents, team and visitors at Hastings will be transported back in time, for a celebration with live music and a scrumptious afternoon tea menu to enjoy, including a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes.
April Walwyn, the Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader said: “Our team and residents are really looking forward to Silver Sunday and for our 50s flashback. We are also excited about welcoming new and familiar faces from our community for this special event.”
The address for those wishing to attend is 130 Barnards Green Road, Malvern WR14 3NA.
Hastings Silver Sunday event comes as a double celebration for Sanctuary Care, which is marking the close of its 20 year anniversary celebrations of delivering care to residents.
