Delivering safe care during this time
We understand that booking a short or long term stay in a care home can be daunting at any time. You will have lots of questions and may understandably feel anxious. Our experienced and devoted care teams are here to put your mind at ease and make the transition as smooth as possible.
There are lots of new processes we are following to keep everyone safe. We’ve created a handy 10-step guide to fully inform you. Looking around our homes safely, with virtual tours
You can’t choose a home without seeing it for yourself, so our teams are providing ‘virtual tours’, so you can experience a virtual visit from the comfort of your chair.
You can see the care home facilities as a senior member of staff walks you round using an iPad, answering any of your questions.
Safe care home admissions – we are welcoming new residents
We’ve welcomed many new residents into our care homes during this pandemic, who are safely settled and feeling very much at home. Many have joined us for respite care and felt so reassured they’ve decided to stay.
To enable us to do this we have a robust admissions process to keep everyone safe. This includes giving new residents the choice to self-isolate before they join us, before doing so with us for the remaining days. Or they can spend their entire self-isolation period with us, enjoying home-cooked food and the company of our devoted staff. All new residents are tested for Covid-19, as are all our staff and existing residents on a regular basis.

Safe visiting care options
Keeping our residents connected with their loved ones is so important for their wellbeing, so we have a robust care home visiting strategy in place. This is continually monitored in line with the latest Government guidance.
All of our homes have different layouts, so with the strictest safety measures in place, visits are taking place in many ways. This includes in dedicated visiting rooms with screens, visiting pods with screens and closed window visits.
